A fall case depends on proof
Falling on unsafe property does not automatically create a claim. The key questions often involve what caused the fall, how long the condition existed, who controlled the property, and whether the owner or manager should have fixed it or warned people.
Photos, video, witness names, incident reports, footwear, lighting, weather, maintenance logs, prior complaints, and inspection practices may matter.
Common hazards
Fall injuries may involve broken stairs, wet floors, snow and ice, sidewalk defects, poor lighting, loose mats, uneven surfaces, missing handrails, or debris. Serious injuries can include fractures, head injuries, spinal injuries, and surgeries.
Call before evidence disappears
Surveillance footage may be deleted and conditions may be repaired. Early legal review can help preserve evidence and determine whether a claim may exist.
